HIV test!

HIV test is a good thing.I feel that if the Muslims want to have it for their own flocks then it is ok. But when they started to influence others or trying to tell other religions to follow what ever they do...I feel that it is not right. If they who are the one who is suggesting then it is ok but when others, they will say that it will decrease their faith...

Let it be like the way it is. Do whatever is good for your own faith let the others do what ever it is good for themselves. Well...I just love the Sarawakians...no matter whatever race or religion we are belong to, we are still able to love and care for each other! Go Sarawak and Mr Taib!

Is it going to be a wet Christmas in Kuching this year?

It seems that Kuching is going to experience a wet Christmas this year. Almost everyday the rain keeps on pouring. As a person who is going to celebrate the Christmas I just hope that this Christmas, the rain will stop.

The carol's groups for most of the kampungs and housing areas have started their rounds. The shopping mood is still not here yet in Bau. But as usual, they will do their shopping at the last hour.

Bau District's Post Office

I thought that my driving license is going to expire today so I have to rush to Bau Post Office in order to have my license renew.

As I entered the offcie, it was already crowded with people. I took the manual (the number written on a card) registration card. Mine was number 69. What a nice number hehehe. As i took my seat, they just called the person with number 41.

The reason I write this entry is not because of the number written on the card, but the fact that this post office really need more staffs.

From the time I entered the post office, I noticed only one person manning the counter. The other two are busy doing something at the back office. Well maybe there are busy or just pretending that they are busy!

It is time for this post office to have more staffs and also ethical staffs!

p/s: I just got angry when I saw the staffs keep on rendering services to those who don't even take their number (jump queue) and mostly their Chinese friends and relatives!!

Tigulak (Bau) - Oil Palm Estate: Helping or Taking the NCR land?

As I read the news about the Orang Asli in Peninsular Malaysia protesting on the NCR Land issue, I cannot help myself thinking about our NCR land in Bau (Sarawak).

I heard there is a plan to develop the NCR land in Tigulak (Bau) as an oil palm estate. Are they really want to help the Bidayuh or are they only using the term development in order to 'snatch' this NCR land for their own benefits and in the end they sell the land to private sectors?

Personally I really oppose this intention whether it is for good intention etc.

If they really want to develop this land, it is for sure under lease for more than 10 years. They will destroy this land because it will be a massive deforestation. We, the Bidayuhs need this forest to hunt. We need the forest for living (even though we are living in a modern world).

As the usual cases in Sarawak, the opening of this oil palm estate is not going to provide more job to the Bidayuhs but the job will be taken by the Indonesians. Go to hell with the promotion as to provide more jobs!!

There are also romours that there are some prominent leaders start to buy the Tigulak NCR lands. I am sure in the end this lands will fall to the private sector (company).

To the government, I am not against you. I am always with you as long as you be fair to your people. You are there because the people voted for you.

If you have a genuine intention, explain to us the logic of the project. Come out with a solid documents saying that forever and ever this land will be belong to the owners. You say you want to help the people, so the profits must be 80% to the land owner and 20% to the government. Your intention is to help, so why should you get more than that?

Whatever it is...make more money...>>> http://www.dmirage.biz/?id=fulusmania

Peace.

A peaceful Kuching.

I am enjoying my brunch at one of the coffee shop now. Thank you Lord for the peacefulness and calmness that I enjoy in Kuching. Frankly speaking the huh hah about the PKR and whatsoever are never a big deal here. Yes there are people talking about it but it just a small talk. After that we will go on with our daily lives.

I found out that the Keadilan newspaper is on sale openly now but yea...it is not that hot for us.

I may don't like some BN leaders but I and maybe majority of us still prefer BN. Just put in a good a loveable candidates, surely BN will win!

By the way hahahaha I am not any of the BN political party member! Because I want to write freely about BN and opposition! But yes...I love BN! And in the end when the election comes, I know who to vote!

A road from Sibu to Kapit please!

I just don't understand why there are some prominent leaders in Sarawak thought that there is still no urgency for us to have a road linking Kapit to the rest of Sarawak!

I beg to disagree when some of them keep on saying that the water transport still consider cheap! Common lah ... RM20.00 per journey yes cheap but what if you have 5 members in your family going down or up Kapit? RM100.00 for God sake! Even a Kancil can accommodate 5 person: from Kuching to Sibu max is only RM60! Still we have balance RM40 out of RM100.00

I just pity my friends in Kapit. Even though I am not a local from Kapit , just working there but I feel that it is about time they have a road linking Kapit to Sibu or Bintulu or anywhere....

Remember, no more lamb excuses!

Budget 2008! No road to Kapit again?!

No money for Kapit?

I am not a local from Kapit. I am just working in Kapit, 'ulu' Kapit. I understand the feeling of the upset local Kapit leaders.

BN verses Anwar?!

The election is here again. The Malaysians and the world are watching closely the upcoming Permatang Pauh by-election.

Permatang Pauh is Anwar strong base. Who is going to win?

Personally, I really hope that the BN candidate can win this election. Whatever it is, I always feel that Anwar is not fit to be in the mainstream leaders (legally).

People tend to ‘give face’ to Anwar but the way I see it, that he is a kind of a cunning person. ( This is my personal opinion. I do not expect you to have the same opinion with me.)

Who is right?

Actually I have been trying to avoid to write about the Anwar-Saiful controversy but it is not easy to just ignore it.

Who is right? So far I can see that Anwar is trying very hard to tell the whole world that he is innocent and Saiful is the devil.

As a person that believe in logic, I slowly believe that something is wrong with Anwar. Yes only God knows who is right and wrong but so far I feel that Anwar is hiding something.

So far Saiful and his family are very convincing. Meanwhile Anwar keep on blaming anybody and anything.

Now she is Datuk Nicol Ann David!

I am so happy that Nicol Ann David, our own Malaysian squash queen, received the Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri which carries the title "Datuk" from Penang Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas.

She is young (going to be 25 this coming August) and the Penang government is able to recognize her achievement in squash.

Datuk Nicol has shown to the young Malaysians that they have their own roles to give back to our beloved country!

Datuk Nicol...keep on flying high!

Pak Lah to Najib 2010??!!

I read with a deep interest with what have been wrote by the newspapers today about the power transition between Pak Lah (PM) and Najib (TPM). It is mentioned that the year of 2010 is going to take place.

It is not who is going to be the next PM that interest me but the way how Najib responses towards it.

I feel that Najib is really a good leader. He is not too crazy for power! I love the he treats Pak Lah. He never pressures Pak Lah to step down in order to give way fro him.

I pray and hope that the the time comes for Najib to be the prime minister, everybody will do the same to him. No back stabbing!

I also hope that Najib will cares all the races and religions fairly.

More reading:

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Razak yesterday urged all Umno members to support the transition plan and continue to support his "boss" Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as president of Umno and prime minister.

For the first time, deputy president Najib addressed the 1,000-odd delegates at a special party meeting after Abdullah had spoken to them.

"It is strange for me to speak after the president. I hope this is the last time ever that I have to speak after the president," said Najib, who was visibly touched by Abdullah's announcement of the transition plan.

He said he was asked to speak after Abdullah "so that I could hear what he had to say and then frame my response".

"I am touched by the prime minister's willingness to fix a date for handing over power and I hope all Umno members will support this," he said to loud applause.

Najib told Umno members he had never asked Abdullah to set a date for handing over power.

"I left it to the prime minister. All I asked for was adequate time to make preparations."

Najib appealed to all Umno divisions to nominate Abdullah for the post of party president in polls scheduled for December.

"But please do not forget to nominate me as deputy president," he said to laughter.

Najib's comments effectively scotched the ambitions of International Trade and Industry Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who with support from Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Rais Yatim, had been positioning himself for either of the top two posts.

Muhyiddin was not present as he is overseas on a trade mission.

Najib, who started on a sombre note after the delegates tried to digest Abdullah's announcement on the transition, paid tribute to the party president, saying that it was not easy to willingly give up power.

He said it was difficult for many people to even give up the position of division head.

"When the prime minister informed me of his decision, I was moved," he said, adding that this indicated that Abdullah was a man with a "big heart".

"For me, it means the prime minister has faith in my ability to shoulder the responsibilities of the top post in the party and in the country," he said, adding that the task that lay before Abdullah and him now was to strengthen the party and government before the next general election.

He said it was to ensure that the party was not split that he refused to listen to advocates who egged him on to challenge Abdullah for the presidency in December.

Among the chief proponents were former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who even labelled Najib a coward for refusing to take on Abdullah.

Najib said he had always believed that the transfer of power should be carried out according to party traditions and with proper Malay etiquette.

"I want to succeed with the blessings of my boss (Abdullah) because (when I succeed) I do not want my former boss to attack me," Najib said, in apparent reference to the non-stop attacks by Dr Mahathir on Abdullah, although it was Dr Mahathir himself who had named Abdullah as his successor.

Najib said it was through a proper transition that the party would remain strong and united.

He said there were some who asked him to contest against Abdullah but he pointed out that he had never won positions in the party through challenges against incumbents.

"Why then should I start now? I will not do something (challenge my boss), something I do not want to be done to me."

Abdullah and Najib were both given a standing ovation by the delegates as they left the hall.

Fuel Protest?!!

The recent fuel protest by the Pakatan Rakyat was really embarassing! I do not say that such protest is bad but when the protest was organised by the Pakatan Rakyat, I feel that I do not support it!

Yes, the fuel hike is really burdening me and most of us but let the BN MPs help us in this matter!

I am not a die hard fan of the BN but most of the times, the BN react rasionally!

Anwar-Saiful drama!

Wow! I have been following this new political drama in Malaysia. There are so many things that have been said about this.

Personally I feel that sometimes I feel that Dr. M is right when he is talking about Anwar sex preferance.

Bisex or gay man will normally attracted to good looking or cute male. Saiful is one of them. Maybe ..yes..maybe Saiful is not a gay but as what the saying says..even a mountain can be moved!

I just wait whether Anwar is willing to swear in the name of GOD!

Being a gay and bisex is not a norm but personally I have no problem with it. They are also human being...but when people like Anwar ( if he is one of them) keep on blaming and diverting other's attention by using 'dirty' tactics.. I feel he is not worth of my support!

Are there any MP's from Sarawak going to crossover to the opposition camp??!!

The recent scenario in the Malaysia politic is really interesting. Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP)had announced that they have no more confident with our beloved Pak Lah.

Well what am I going to say...personally I have no problem with Pak Lah. So far I feel that I am quite like his way of doing things.

But there are times that I feel that is he really a charismatic leader? I just do not know. I am just like 'dust' (imitate what Sammy Vellu said).

Ok, back to the above title, are there any? Sarawak politicians are quite funny also...just like Sabah. It is very hard to predict. The politicians have been promoting to bring more development but how am I going to chew the promotion any longer?

10 years back, yes, we will understand...but now we are already in the 2008! The question is...What have they been doing before this? Years and years to bring development..come on, I am tired of the excuses.

At the moment we are not suppose to bring development..we are suppose to maintain the development and enjoy it!

But hey!!!... The rakyat of Sarawak if not all, majority of us still keep our faith with BN, whatever it is. BN is the only alliance that can unite all Malaysians!

So, who are the MP's that are going to jump over? Shame on you!

Oppsss.... the Sarawak general election will be here soon! If the state government is not going to buck up, BN is going to suffer!

If I would like to think it again, where am I going to go if not BN. PKR? Oh no... they are not good enough for me. Anwar? Who is he? Sarawak is not going to get anything from him, he will get something from Sarawak! Well that is my personal opinion dude!

DAP? They are good but too radical...

Whatever it is, I still choose BN! But again... I am not going to register myself with any political party for the time being!

‘MPs on verge of joining PKR hijacked’

KOTA KINABALU: At least two Barisan Nasional MPs from Sarawak are on the verge of throwing their support behind the opposition, PKR deputy president Dr Syed Husin Ali claimed.

He said that the MPs were “hijacked” as they were among a group of 10 leaders from the state who were taken on a trip to Beijing.

Syed Hussin told reporters after attending a Kaamatan (Harvest Festival) gathering here that the two MPs were supposed to make their stand known either on Friday or yesterday.

“But we are confident they will make the appropriate announcement on their return to the country,” he said.

Retirement age up to 58!

This week most of the civil servants are going to make their decision whether to extend their pension age limit up to 58 years. For those who are enjoying their work, this is a very good opportunity to keep on serving the government; means the rakyat.

There are talks over a cup of coffee, this age limit is going to be push up again to 60! This is not impossible at all. Most of the countries have done it such Singapore etc.

So to all the government servants, just take the offer for 58 years ( if you are healthy enough or no bussiness in mind!) because surely you will sign another form to prolong your service up to 60 years old! Just keep our fingers close!

Retirement age now 58
Sunday, 11 May 2008 01:16PM
©The
Sunday Star
PUTRAJAYA: The mandatory retirement age for civil servants
has been extended from the current 56 years to 58, effective July 1.

Civil servants now have a choice of opting to retire at 56 or work until they
reach 58.

Among the goodies announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi
was discontinuing the written test for Grade 1 to Grade 16 officers under the
civil service Efficiency Level Assessment (PTK).

He, however, said the PTK would not be abolished but its methods would be
improved from time to time.
Goodies: Abdullah announcing incentives at the public sector Workers Day
gathering at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre yesterday.

The PM also said effective Jan 1 next year, the calculation of pension for
pensioners and pension recipients would be based on a maximum of 30 years of
service compared to the current 25 years.

However, the recalculated pension will only be paid from Jan 1 next year without
any arrears.

Abdullah said the decision to increase the retirement age was made based on
Malaysians’ current lifespan.

He added that based on a government study, extending the retirement age would
not affect the employment opportunities of fresh graduates.

Kuching-Sibu by car!

Wow..!!! Thank God! At last I managed to reach Sibu at 6:08pm. I started my journey at 11:00am. At first I pumped in petrol for RM20.00 and I pumped in again for RM38.84 to get a full tank.

I stopped at my sister's house for awhile. When I reached Serian, I was already 11:49am.

The journey was 'beautiful' and I reach Sri Aman at 1:40pm. Had a drink while giving my car to relax for awhile.

I continued my journey at 1.55 and reach Saratok at 3:28pm. It was rain all the way.

I stopped in Saratok for awhile to visit my friend. I went to his house at Taman Orkid.

I started my journey again at 4:28pm. Reached Sarikei at 5:01pm and Sibu toll at 5:55pm.

What I want to tell the readers is that it is not that bad driving all the way up to Sibu. The scenery all the way up is so superb!

Whatever it is, don't drink and drive!

1st Day of Fuel rebate claiming!!

Today is the first day of the government of Malaysia paying thousand of Malaysians the fuel rebate. I started my 'operation' in claiming my rebate at Bau Post office. Unfortunately when I reached there the form already out of stock. So I went to MJC post office. Again the same thing happen. No more form.

So with my logic, I went to Kuching Main Post Office. I have to park my car illegally not far from the main post office. I went inside, wow.... it was full of people. This time, I was lucky because there were ample of form. I have to tell the truth that the process of claiming the money is so so so easy. I just fill up the form, line up and get the money. It is just get me 3 minutes from the moment I hand in my form form and the moment I get my money. Congrats!

The only thing that I really regret is that, the mini post office. They need to prepare enough form. They should expect this!

How to force Oil companies reducing their petrol price !!!!??

Attention everybody!

Somebody sent me this e-mail. At first I tought it is a junk mail but once I read it over and over, it's seems to make sense...

"THIS IS NOT THE 'DON'T BUY' PETROL FOR ONE DAY, BUT IT WILL SHOW YOU HOW CAR OWNERS CAN GET GASOLINE PRICE DOWN TO US$2.00 PER GALLON BY JUST FORWARDING THIS EMAIL TO 10 PEOPLE !!!This idea was written out by a retired Coca Cola Executive. It came from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton, an oil exploration company in U.S. If you are tired of the gasoline price is going up and up, AND it will continue to rise, take time to read this please.Mr Phillip Hollsworth offered his good idea. This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy gasoline on a certain day' campaign that was going around last year April or May! It's worth your effort to join the campaign !!!!I heard that price of petrol going to hit close to US$ 4.00 a gallon by next summer, and it might go up higher ! YOU want gasoline prices to come down ?All we need to do is we must take some intelligent, UNITED ACTION NOW. The oil companies laughed at us on last year 'Don't Buy Petrol For One day Campaign' because they knew we wouldn't continue to 'hurt' ourselves by refusing to buy gasoline. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem to the oil companies. This time is different, consumers have the power to bring down the price of goods !!! This is a plan that can really work. Please read on and join us!You're probably thinking that gasoline priced at about $2.00/gallon is normal due to oil price has hit all time high of US$118/barrel !!!The oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the only way for the gasoline price is up, medias reporting brisk car sales in China and India, power hungry nations building more power plants to grow their economy, the growth of dragon(China) and elephant(India) will gobble up most of the world resources; oil reserve going down and depleting in 50 years time, this is how we are being conditioned(brain wahed)NOW we need to act together to show them(oil companies and OPEC) that BUYERS can control the marketplace. .. not sellers. The only way we are going to see the price of gas coming down to a reasonable level is if we hit oil companies' revenue by not buying their products! And, we can do it WITHOUThurting ourselves. How? Since many of us owned and rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gasoline!!!!But we CAN have an impact on gas price if we all act together to force a price war among the oil companies!!!Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T buy gasoline from the two biggest companies, EXXON-MOBIL and SHELL, some car owners being brain washed to use a particular brand of petrol in order to keep their car engines in tip top condition which is not true, any brand will work well for your cars, you can reconfirm this if you have a friend who is a petroleum engineer, If not, just fill up your tank with another brand which you never used before to confirm it. When the oil companies that we are boycotting are not selling any gas for a week, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit; oil companies work like a cartel !!!!To have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon-Mobil and SHELL gas buyers.. In the past, it was an uphill task but now, it's really simple to reach millions even billions of people. Keep reading and I will show you how to do it through the power of internet.I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300) ... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x10 =3,000)... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth group of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers. If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it.....THREE HUNDRED MILLIONs PEOPLE!!! This 300 millions people just email this to 5 of his/her contacts, we reached 1.5 billions people !!!Are you excited as I am ? all you have to do is send this to 10 people or more if you can, its so simple, isn't it? Just Do it ! OK ???(If you don't understand how we can reach 1500 MILLIONS people and all you have to do is send this to 10 people..How long would all this take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten or more people within one day of receipt, all 1500 MILLIONs people could be contacted within the next 9 days !!!I'll bet you didn't think you and I had so much power, did you! Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on. I suggest that we don't buy from EXXON-MOBIL and SHELL UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES AND KEEP THEM DOWN. THIS CAN REALLY WORK."

So? Hahaha I am a user of Shell...maybe I will start to try Petronas ( not because it is Malaysian but at least I can join the force! )

Air Asia

I boarded the Air Asia flight from Kuching to Sibu today at 10.30 am. I was so happy that the plane departed on time. The crew at the terminal are very helpful and friendly. I am not sure whether the plane that I boarded is new or not but I just love it. The air inside the plane is so fresh.

The only thing that I just don't really like was with one of the steward. This Chinese steward is so rude (in my opinion). Yes, my friend and I knew that we were wrong because we still using our handphone (smsing the last words to tell someone outside that we are already inside the plane and say goodbye). He asked us to keep our phone and we answered, "Sekejap, last sms to say goodbye."(with a smile!). Immediately the steward answered back, "No, no, I have already announce it at the terminal...!" (rudely). Why on earth, he cannot say it politely and tells us to keep our handphones after we send the last sms and with a smile.

This Chinese steward is also so so stupid. He tried to count the passengers a few times eventhough the another passengers still coming in! Common lah, I have using Air Asia for so many times, the flight attendance will do the counting once all the passengers get on their seat.

The funniest thing among all is that, I never met an ugly flight steward like him be it from MAS or Air Asia itself! Must be a mistake during the recruitment process.

But, what ever it is...I just love Air Asia and MAS!

Fuel Price Hike!

I do not know what is going to happen to our country lately. On and on Malaysia hike up the price of fuel. What has gone wrong?

Personally I really like our beloved PM Pak Lah but there are some things that I just don't like it. One of it is the fuel issue.

I just wonder why during the bad time (economically) during the Mahathir time, the government during that time managed to control everything .

Does this mean that the recent government is not really effective?

I just couldn't forget about the recent general election, because of the wrong advices given by 'his' advicers, BN lost a lot of seats.

Please...please if possible do not listen to the wrong advices again Pak Lah.
